Dex’s Tech Tips: Brawl-Tested Tactics for Chain Reaction+!
No need to experiment – here are some tips to take with you as you gear up for a day of Ultimate Experience!
- Bring it indoors! If there’s a ceiling, walls, or other map geometry to collide with, Ultimate Throws will drop brawlers at rapid speeds – meaning if you get KOed, your Ultimate can set off an absurd chain of multiple KOs! Ulti-Berry Blast, your time has come!
- Watch for skulls! A KOed player’s Ultimate Throw landing zone will show a skull hologram on the surface they’re landing on, letting you know whether it’s a Brawler landing their last blast or just a plain ol’ tossed Ultimate Throw. Grab a ball or a buddy to punish a standard Ultimate Throw if you can!
- Juke ‘em out! If you’ve got multiple Ultimate Throws incoming, use that fancy footwork – run in one direction, then double back in the other to cause those Ultimates to overshoot! Well-timed jumps and dashes will help you escape the wrath of the recently KOed.
- Peep those pits! Flying out of bounds still means you’ll get bounced back as one final Ultimate Throw, so don’t think your opponent is done just because you chucked them into a hazard – suddenly, they just became more hazardous to your hearts!
